Eleocharis flavescens (Poiret) Urban, Pale spikerush

Eleocharis flavescens is frequent in the northwestern portion of Renfrew County. It is found in the muck and mud of emergent shorelines. The culms are somewhat lax, forming star burst shaped rosettes.
