The genus Eleocharis of Renfrew County:
A comparative study

Eleocharis intermedia Schultes, Matted spikerush

Eleocharis intermedia is sparse in Renfrew County. It is found along banks of creeks and streams. Eleocharis intermedia exhibits a widely varying culm height within a single tuft, all fruiting simulaneously. The longest culms are truncated and inset in the Figure 1 composite.
