Carex deflexa Hornem., Bent Northern Sedge (Section ACROCYSTIS)

Carex deflexa is uncommon in Renfrew County. It is loosely cespitose with weak culms and frequently has basal spikes borne on thin peduncles. It is found in sandy soil of open woodlands.
