Carex umbellata Schkuhr ex Willd., Umbellate Sedge (Section ACROCYSTIS)
Carex umbellata is rare in Renfrew County and isolated to alvars and calcareous rocky slopes. It can be easily separated from the similar looking Carex tonsa var rugosperma by the length of the perigynium beak.
