Carex ormostachya Wieg., Necklace Spike Sedge (Section LAXIFLORAE)

Carex ormostachya is sparse in Renfrew County. With perigynia having a short acutely bent beak, Carex ormostachya could only be confused with C. blanda. However, the bract sheath margins of Carex ormostachya are smooth and the bract sheath margins of C. blanda are scabrous (see high resolution version of Figure 2 and 3).
