A comparative study

Section DEWEYANAE

This section is represented by two species in Renfrew County. The perigynia of these species are characteristically divided into three equal sections; the basal third is spongy, the middle third tightly encloses the achene (visible through the thin perigynia wall), and the beak comprises the distal third (Figure 1).
