Only one species from Section DIVISAE is found in Renfrew County.

Carex praegracilis Dew., Clustered Field Sedge

Carex praegracilis is a species of western North America and slowly colonizing the east by travelling along roadsides where it tolerates saline soils resulting from road salt application. It is starting to appear in Renfrew County and so far found along Hwy 60 near Killaloe. It is noteworthy for its unisexual inflorescences (Figure 2) and strong clonal growth behavior.
