The genus Carex of Renfrew County:
A comparative study

Carex trisperma Dew., Three-seeded Sedge (Section GLAREOSAE)

Carex trisperma is widespread in Renfrew County growing in cool wooded swamps in deep sphagnum moss. It differs from the others species of Section Glareosae by maturing later in the summer. Carex trisperma differs from C. billingsii by having more perigynia in the spikelets and flatter leaves.
