Carex sparganioides Muhl. ex Willd., Burreed Sedge (Section PHAESTOGLOCHIN)

Carex sparganioides is sparsely scattered throughout the southern portion of the county in rich moist woodlands. It is noted for the rugose pattern on the lower leaf sheaths.
