Scirpus cyperinus (Linnaeus) Kunth, Common woolly bulrush

Scirpus cyperinus is common throughout Renfrew County. It is separated from the other Scirpus cyperinus complex species with its spikelets sessile or clustered (three or more), scales hyaline to brown and fruiting late July to September.
