The genus Scirpus of Renfrew County:
A comparative study

By Grant A. Bickel, 2020

Scirpus pendulus Muhlenberg ex Willdenow, Hanging bulrush

Scirpus pendulus is sparse in Renfrew County. It superficially resembles species from the Scirpus cyperinus complex but the perianth bristles of Scirpus pendulus do not exceed the scales so that it lacks a woolly appearance.
