Carex lasiocarpa Ehrh., Woolly-fruit Sedge (Section PALUDOSAE)
Carex lasiocarpa is common in Renfrew County. It is found in standing water around bogs. It is easily separated from Carex pellita because Carex lasiocarpa has wiry, involute leaves and bracts (Figure 5).
