A comparative study

Carex pellita Willd., Woolly Sedge (Section PALUDOSAE)

Carex pellita is rare in Renfrew County confined mostly to the alvars in the east corner of the county. It is very similar to Carex lasiocarpa but Carex pellita has flat leaf blades and bracts while those of Carex lasiocarpa are wiry and involute (Figure 3).
