Carex crawfordii Fern., Crawford's Sedge (Section OVALES)

Carex crawfordii is common on the sandy acidic (often disturbed) soils in the northwest portion of Renfrew County. It is easily identified by its small, extremely narrow and thin perigynia found in a small dense inflorescence.
