Carex diandra Schrank, Lesser Panicled Sedge (Section HELEOGLOCHIN)

Carex diandra grows in calcareous wetlands and is sparse in Renfrew County. Superficially it may resemble C. vulpinoidea but Carex diandra is easily distinguished by its shiny dark brown perigynia.
